Events with credibility

Kerb is a community of independent businesses, always looking to help each other out and impact in the right way in the wider world. So, you won’t be sipping from plastic straws, eating with plastic cutlery or consuming anything from single-use plastic containers - Our traders use service wear made from compostable materials, and we make a donation of 15p for each guest to Street Child, a charity that helps families set up street-food businesses in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Uganda.

Recyclable and reusable where possible

The In-hall areas are prone to large amounts of waste generated due to the high number of visitors. We are working to reduce this by incentivising our staff and visitors to bring their own reusable cups for a discount on hot drinks purchased and we have a number of water refill stations located throughout the venue. We’re also switching to recyclable consumables where reusing is not feasible - for example, switching to wooden crockery solutions for grab & go areas.

Fairtrade

We aim to make ethical choices across our supply chain and have switched to fairtrade uniform suppliers

Reusable

We encourage all our guests and staff to use refillable cups for hot and cold drinks to minimise single use waste

Re-use policy

Through our reduce, re-use and review policy we’re targeting the removal of all single use plastics throughout the venue

Packaging

We are working with suppliers to reduce packaging and remove single use non-recyclable plastic from packaging

Our catering process

We are here to help exhibitors design and build layouts that accentuate whichever event they may be hosting. With an array of options, we will help you create an experience that stands out from the crowd, attracts visitors and ensures you get the most out of your investment in a step-by-step process.

1. Initial enquiry & quote

A member of our events team will give you a call to discuss your event in more detail.

The quote is then created based on your requirements.

2. Verbal confirmation

Once you are happy with the proposal offer and budget, you will confirm ExCeL London Hospitality to cater at your event (there is no contract or deposit required at this stage).

We then send the event brief to all of our traders based on your requirements. The available traders will back with their proposed menu which we collate into a menu pack for you.

3. Confirm & contract

Following the tasting, you will select your chosen traders for the event.

The contract is then drawn up and a deposit is taken.

4. Pre-event planning

All pre-event planning begins -including attending site visits, collating trader power requirements, H&S documents, etc.
